"What I Believe about God Is the Most Important Thing about Me" - A.W.Tozer

Victim or Leader

Leader

Victims are looking at the problems, leaders are looking for solutions! I was listening to the news today and heard this paragraph and stacked with me all day long. The reporter talked about how we all can be leaders in our on world.

As believers I think it’s even an expectation from God to always do our best in everything we do, to be examples, leaders in such a way that people would see our good deeds and glorify God.

If I honestly believe that God is in control, then I can be my best regardless if I get rewarded right away or not. When we do our best at all times, trust me it will bring results on a long term. God sees everything and he rewards those who trust in him and wait for his promotion. When God moves good things will happen, better than you might think.

Just think about that for a moment if everyone does its best in their field this world would be a better place. A little effort over a long period of time can have a big impact.

I learned English over a 13 year period of time. When I came to Canada I knew only three sentences: Hi, My name is Piri. I am married and I don’t speak English. Over 13 years I learned enough to obey God and believe that he can use even me by starting an online English bible community. I learned and I’m still learning more and more with each passing day as I prepare these articles to share with you my faith journey, my life, my relationship with God.

I took some English classes for about 3 months. I couldn’t attend school for longer period but I made a promise to myself that I will learn to speak English well enough to be able to communicate with others. I know my grammar is not perfect, so I have to rely on God a lot, but I do my best and I want to inspire others that it’s possible to learn new things.

I learned skating at age 30 with my 4 years old, but I will be able to skate well with my grandchildren, I learned skiing at 33 when my kids talked me into skiing with them. I felt quite few time, I hurt myself quite few times, but if every year I learn a little more, 20 years from now, when I have to take my grandchildren skating and skiing I will be able to enjoy these sports more than when I started years ago.

We can choose to complain about our jobs, marriage, kids, financial situation or we can look at what’s missing and find a solution for it.

There are bigger issues around us too: world hunger, AIDS, kids on the streets, sexual slavery, child pornography, racism and the list goes on. We can’t fix all of them….but think about this: how would our world look like if we all would do a little better in what we do. When you see a problem, stop for a moment and ask God to give you wisdom on how to find a solution, how can you BE the solution? You and I are the change this world needs. God gave us talents, gift, resources to use them not only for our own benefit, but for those in need around us.

The question remains are you a victim or a leader? Are you one of those who always complains about problems and hopes that someone else will fix the problem, are you one of those Christians who complains to God about some problems you could fix on your own? I really believe that God will not do the things we can do; he enabled us to be the solutions for many problems, so we can’t just wait on him to do miracles because we are lazy and/or inconsiderate.

Smile and remember that you are a child of the Most High God, the Creator of the universe, and everything he makes is perfect. God made you unique so that you’ll be a leader in whatever you do in such way that it will bring glory to God. Be a leader not a victim!
