Need Help? - Cry Out For Help!

Help“When Judah realized that they were being attacked from the front and the rear, they cried out to the LORD for help. Then the priests blew the trumpets, and the men of Judah began to shout. At the sound of their battle cry, God defeated Jeroboam and all Israel and routed them before Abijah and the army of Judah~ 2 Chronicles 13: 14-15

What a day, what a story. The army of Judah was fighting Jeroboam and they trusted and obeyed God so they were ready for battle. “We [the people of Judah] are following the instruction of the Lord our God, but you [Jeroboam and all Israel] have abandoned him. So you see, God is with us. He us our leader… O people of Israel do not fight against the Lord, the God of your ancestors, for you will not succeed!” ~ 2 Chronicles 11b-12.

Looks familiar? How often when we fight our enemies and we put our trust in our Lord, our God, we believe in God’s deliverance, we stand, we fight, we pray, we proclaim God’s promises, we believe our children will turn to God, we believe that God will heal us and/or our loved ones, we believe that God can make a way even in a weak economic situation too.

We proclaim that God is Emmanuel, God is with us. We trust him as our leader and yes we are not afraid to proclaim that.

“Meanwhile, Jeroboam had secretly sent part of his army around behind the men of Judah to ambush them” ~ 2 Chronicles 13:13

Meanwhile, we proclaim God’s healing and our loved ones die, meanwhile we believe in a promotion but we lose our jobs, meanwhile we believe that God can open doors yet our business goes under, meanwhile we believe that God can deliver us from substances but unfortunately we end up in prison for drug trafficking, meanwhile we hope that God will change our partner yet we can do nothing as he/she walk out of the door, meanwhile we believe in a financial miracle, yet we file bankruptcy, meanwhile while we fight in front of us for our children the enemy attacks from behind and they leave home, meanwhile we stand in God’s promises, proclaim his power….the enemy attacks from behind.

You know exactly what that looks like in your life. You know when instead of seeing the positive change you realize that you are surrounded and there is no way out. When we realize that we been attacked from every side…what do you do then? You trusted God in first place. You glorified him, you proclaimed his power, you believed that he can deliver and now you realize that you are surrounded with even more trouble…what then???

They Cried Out To The LORD For HELP!!! You might be in that place, surrounded from every side, you might just realized that there is no way out from here, that you will never make it on your own….who do you cry out to?  Your friends? Your family? They cried out to the LORD for Help. Do the same, when you just feel tired and worn out from your battle ahead of you and you realize you been attacked from every side Cry Out To God For Help!!!

Wonder Why? Why cry out to God when he didn’t delivered you from troubles when you obeyed him and put him first in your life? Why to cry out now when God didn’t step in when you fought your enemy ahead of you? Why cry out now? Why bother God now?

Because: “At the sound of their battle cry, God defeated….”

We might know God, we might trust him, we might believe in him, but we will never know what God is able to do until we are in a position where God or nothing is. You might feel that you already lost a battle, but God is in control and he can win your war!!! When we are in a desperate situation surrounded by every side, when we don’t have nothing but a last cry…then at the sound of the battle cry…..God moves.

I love this story, because God wants us to call upon him, God want us to rely on him, God wants us to cry out to him, he will move only when we ask. We might know his abilities, but we will never experience his power if we are not willing to cry out to him for his help. We have to acknowledge our dependency on him; we have to come to the end of our rope, to the end of our own fight and let him to take over. Don’t just say that God is your Leader, but give him the leadership position over your life circumstances.

When we do that God, not us, but God will defeat our enemies. God will bring home our children, God will heal us, or give us the strength needed to move on and live a life which glorifies him even after the death of our partner, parent or child. God will open up doors for our business, or help us go through a bankruptcy without going bitter and depressed. God will restore the broken marriage or restore us with hope after a broken marriage. God will open up doors we would never imagine, have joy we could never sustain because it will be his fight. Once we cry out, he takes over and finishes the battle for us.

Remember, when you are surrounded from every side, just look up and cry out to God and for His help in your situation. He will answer, He will move, because he is God. It’s not about us, it’s about his faithfulness. When we put our hope in God and God alone he will answer and deliver.

Would you share your situation where you felt surrounded by every side and how you reacted. What kind of results came out of that situation or circumstance?
