"What I Believe about God Is the Most Important Thing about Me" - A.W.Tozer
I was sitting in the church few weeks ago and to be honest I don’t remember anything from the sermon. The truth is if you are a church attending person, in your lifetime you will attend thousands of church services and it’s absolutely normal that you will not remember all. You don’t even have to. God uses your church time, your daily ordinary events, and all of your circumstances to personally talk to you and by doing so he is transforming you one step at a time.
But while you will listen to thousands of sermons and you will forget many of them, I find it amusing that I never forget when God talks to me personally. I can recall every time God talked to me: tell you exactly what I did, what he told me, and the impact it had on my life. Whether God talks to me at church through a pastor, a song, a book, a dream or just simply when I don’t even expect it, those moments and words all are imprinted in my mind forever. I treasure these sentences more than anything in my life. God, the God of the universe talks to me, little me – personally.

So going back to the Sunday, I remember the pastor asking: “Do you love Jesus?” And of course in was a grooming yes in the room - well we are in the church setting - of course we love Jesus. But then the next question came: “Do you obey him?” and after this I can’t remember the sermon anymore because God, started to talk to me personally.
Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them.~ John 14:21
Now if you will obey me and keep my covenant, you will be my own special treasure from among all the peoples on earth; for all the earth belongs to me. ~ Exodus 19:5
And we will receive from him whatever we ask because we obey him and do the things that please him. ~ 1 John 3:22
To all who are victorious, who obey me to the very end, To them I will give authority over all the nations. ~ Revelation 2:26
Because you have obeyed my command to persevere, I will protect you from the great time of testing that will come upon the whole world to test those who belong to this world. ~ Revelation 3:10
Your life reveals who and what you really love, but whom and what you obey and follow. Believing in God is NOT ENOUGH.
You say you have faith, for you believe that there is one God. Good for you! Even the demons believe this, and they tremble in terror. ~ James 2:19
You know many people believe in God. Which God? For some- their God is their money, their own image, their kids, their own physical body, their possessions. There are many so called gods. And there are many who believe or they thing they believe in the one true God, but do they really?
Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. ~ Matthew 7:21
You know – most of you have been crazily in love, fallen in love with someone deeply - when you love someone, when you are in love with someone, you will do everything to please them and you listen to them and jump to fill their wants, because you love them.
Jesus makes it really simple: I died for you. I gave my life for you. I gave up everything to save you, because I LOVE YOU. Until you don’t fall in love with Jesus it will be hard to obey him. To obey anyone is not easy, and often is impossible. Obeying someone is a burden, if is not out of love.
I didn’t work for me either for years. Obeying God was some kind of rules and regulations game. It was kind of if I don’t want to go to heaven then I better follow the rules of the Bible. It was hard and failed every time I decided to obey the rules. Until one day, through the power of the Holy Spirit I realized the love God had for me, I accepted my forgiveness, I accepted the extended love and God filled me with his abundant love and when I realized how much God loves me, I fell in love with Jesus … Now, I WANT to obey him. I want to make him proud of me. I want him to say: she brings me joy.
Do I always obey him? No, sometimes I still fail but my heart changed and my attitude changed and when I realize I missed to obey him, I apologize and it hurts me too. But day-by-day I ask God to give me a willing heart, an obedient heart and the strength needed to obey him, to do his will, to give me a desire to please him over and above anything else. It’s so natural and we often want to be accepted and for that reason we want to please people. But pleasing people might really go against God’s will. It’s not easy to stand for God, but it’s worth it.
Jesus says: If you love me, then you will obey me! Wow! That is really powerful! You can tell Jesus that you love Him all day long, but if you do not obey Him, then your words mean nothing. Jesus ultimately wants us to obey Him for two reasons. First - for His glory and second - for our Joy. Jesus specifically tells us that He is telling us these things so that our Joy may be full! Jesus wants our best and we will never live at our fullest if we don’t obey him.
Question: Do you love Jesus? Do you obey him? Do you find it easy to obey God? What are the circumstances when you find it hard to obey God? Can you name few events when you know you obeyed God? How about when you didn’t? Do you have the tendency to easily give up God just to please people?
Your Question might be: How to obey God practically in our everyday life? … I promise I will come back to this later.

God desires a personal relationship with us. Understand that God wants to give you a life filed with joy and peace. God wants us to have a life not just to make it through but an abundant and eternal life because he loves you.
"I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." ~ John 10:10
"We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ" ~ Romans 5:1
But to giving you abundant life required the supreme sacrifice:
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believe in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" ~ John 3:16
What a wonderful gift the Father has given. If God gave His own Son to provide an abundant and everlasting life, why more people don’t have what He has designed for us to receive?

We were created in God’s image for an abundant and joyful life with the ability and need to know God and have a personal relationship with Him. But our freedom of choice of disobedience caused a separation and gap between God and us.
"But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear" ~ Isaiah 59:2
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." ~ Romans 3:23

People always try to fill that empty void in their lives with "things." They even try good works, morality, and religion. Yet they remain empty, for only God, through His Son, can fill that emptiness.
"There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death” ~ Proverbs 14:12
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." ~ Romans 6:23
Our Problem is that sin separated us from God. But
God provided only ONE SOLUTION
God has provided only one solution to sin and separation from Himself.
Jesus Christ, His Son, is the only way to God.
Jesus Christ paid the penalty for our sin and rebellion against God and bridged the gap between God and humanity by dying on the cross, shedding His blood, and rising from the dead to justify and reconcile you back to God the Father.

"For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God." ~ 1Peter 3:18
"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." ~ Romans 5:8
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast." ~ Ephesians 2:8,9
"For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" ~ 1Timothy 2:5
Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. “~ John 14:6
God so loved us that he gave his only Son to bridge the gap between us and the Father. God has provided the only way, the only solution. You have to take a decision and choose how to respond to God’s provision.
Your relationship with God can be restored and you can be brought back into his family by trusting in Christ alone who can save your life from destruction. Jesus is the bridge to the Father but you have to choose to trust him, you have to make a step forward him, you have to step out in faith and give your life to God. At the Cross you can exchange your worst for Jesus’ best.

This step happens by asking Jesus Christ to take away your sin and to come into your heart to be your Lord and Savior.
The Bible says...
"That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." ~ Romans 10:9
"Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God." ~ John 1:12
"Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me." ~ Revelation 3:20
Would you like to invite Jesus to be part of your life, to be your Lord and Savior now? You can start a new life with him. It doesn’t matter where you’re coming from, what you did in the past. When you give your life to Jesus you can start all over again. With Jesus you can have a new chance again.
If you too need Jesus to give you a new start, if you realized that Jesus is all you need then here is how you can receive Christ:
Admit your need (I am a sinner).
Be willing to turn from your sins (repent).
Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the Cross and rose from the grave.
Through prayer, invite Jesus Christ to come in and control your life through the Holy Spirit. (Receive Him as Lord and Savior.)
At this moment you can pray the most important prayer of your life by simply saying:
Dear Lord Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God. I believe you died for me on the cross and shed Your blood for my salvation. I believe you rose from the dead and ascended in Heaven. I believe You are coming back again to earth. Dear Jesus, I know I am a sinner and I need Your forgiveness. Forgive my sins. Cleanse me now with Your precious blood. I want to turn from sins. I invite you to come into my heart. I give you my life now. I want to trust and follow You as Lord and Savior. I receive You now as my Savior, my Lord, and my God. I am Yours forever, I belong to You only. I no longer belong to this world, nor to the enemy of my soul. Amen!
If you sincerely prayed this prayer, confessed your sins, and received Jesus Christ into your heart, God has given you the right to become His child.
The Bible gives you this assurance:
"Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” ~ Romans 10:13
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast." ~ Ephesians 2:8,9
This is just the beginning of a wonderful new life in Christ. If you have just received Jesus Christ into your life, we want to rejoice with you. Click here to send us your salvation praise report.
