"What I Believe about God Is the Most Important Thing about Me" - A.W.Tozer
| Category: Trials & Testing Times |
There are times in your life, when you go through difficult circumstances and you feel you’re alone. You cry out to God, you pray, but it seems that there is no answer. In those times what do you do???
When you feel everything is falling apart, remember you are safe in his arms.
Sometimes is hard to hear God’s voice, sometimes your circumstances are so overwhelming that you just feel you can’t take one more step, you can face one more day, and more than anything you just want to hear His voice … but you just can’t hear it.

When it seem your prayers never leaves your room, you wonder if God even knows your name, or hears your voice … in those moments you have to choose to trust God anyways.
I faced many heart crunching circumstances … when it seemed that I couldn't take one more step, one more day … and the truth is – on my own, I would of never made it, yet with God’s help I was able to stand … better said, he held me so I didn't collapse.
I was having a heart to heart conversation with God lately. I know God is able, I know he spoke and the Universe was formed, I know he doesn’t change, I know and sincerely believe that he can change my circumstances, and your circumstances … it’s not about if he is capable or not … It’s about if he is willing or not.
When our life seems like is falling apart and is totally out of our control, we have to CHOOSE to trust God. We have to remember that he loves us; with a love we can’t understand or comprehend. NEVER question God’s love for you. Your circumstances are not the result of his love. We can NEVER assume that if God loves us, our lives should be problem free. If you ever doubt God love: REMEMBER THE CROSS! On the cross you can see God’s love for you. He gave His only son, to save you, because he loves you so much, that He can’t imagine eternity without you.
So when our situations are overwhelming, remember that he held you all the way until now, and he will do it again. Remember, that NOTHING, absolutely NOTHING can happen to you without his knowledge. God knows what you are facing now, He knows your pain, your heartbreak, your tears, your fears, your doubts, and he loves you.
The choices we make today will impact our tomorrow, and not only our personal future, but the future of those who are around us. Every personal choice is more than personal. A parent’s choice impacts its children and partner life, a child’s choice impact its parents and siblings life, a teacher’s choice impacts its entire class life, a leader’s choice impact all those whom she/he leads, and the list can just go on.
Just because we often think it’s our personal life and we can do whatever we want with it, that statement is only half true. Every time we make a choice it impacts our future and those who are in contact with us either positively or negatively. History was shaped and will be shaped by individual choices. Sometimes, little, seemingly insignificant choices make tremendous differences.
In our lifetime, we and those around us made and will make some plain bad choices that impact our lives. Have you ever found yourself wondering: what IF – I didn’t say that? Or what IF – I just would have said that? Have you ever wondered which hurts the most: saying something and wishing you had not, or saying nothing, and wishing you had? As you look back, what hurts you more: the choices you made and turned out they were bad choices or the steps you never made being afraid of failing or the consequences your choices would bring?
If we are honest, then we know that, most of us made some pretty damn bad choices which caused pain not only for us, but for those around us. Some people live their entire lives with regrets over the choices they made, or others made for them. Would be nice, wouldn’t be? - to have that one opportunity to just go back in time and backup our life to the date where everything was just perfect, to the times before the storm hit. As I was restoring my websites and the operator asked to choose the date … the question become lauder and lauder:”Piri: if you could go back what would be the date where you would like to restore your life?”
On the sleepless nights I would travel back in time:
Most of you know this poem well. Today it was one of those days when I needed to be carried.

Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.
Sometimes there were two sets of footprints,
other times there were one set of footprints.
This bothered me because I noticed
that during the low periods of my life,
when I was suffering from
anguish, sorrow or defeat,
I could see only one set of footprints.
Do you have those moments when you get so overwhelmed by pain around you that you feel numb? When you just feel empty inside and you wonder why and how long?
I had ‘one of those’ days few days ago. Things just make no sense.
I look back at my life and everything “Christianity” makes no sense.
Grew up with a dad who calls himself Christian but never saw Christ in his life. Controlling and abusive; keeping the family in constant terror. We never knew when the next outburst would happen.
The pastor of my early years would betray his own congregation members to the communist secret services just to protect themselves. (Her daughter flew from the country to the States and the secret services were on their neck. To escape the secret service’s harassment the pastor would share confidential information about members from the congregation. You might wonder how I know that. I babysat their grand-daughter and I can recall how the pastor’s son couldn’t agree with his dad’s behavior. I was twelve at time.) I remember when I realized the pastor’s betrayal I felt heart broken and lost all my trust in religious leaders. The leaders of that church were people without love, mercy and grace. Religion and love never seemed hand in hand.
“Since he himself has gone through suffering and testing, he is able to help us, when we are being tested” ~ Hebrews
In our lifetime we all go through testing times. When you’re in school the teacher will tell you in advance that in a week or so, you’ll be tested in math, language, science, history or whatever the major is. This gives you time to prepare in advance and be ready for the test. Unfortunately, in real life, we don’t know in advance when a testing period will come up and we don’t know the subject we’ll be tested on.
When testing times arrive, and it’s never if they come, it is when they come; we’ll be tested on everything we ever thought we “knew” before, but often the “mental knowledge” is just not enough to get us through. In these times it’s important to know and remember the above quoted Bible verse.
Because Jesus himself has gone through suffering and testing, he is ABLE to HELP. What really amazes me is the fact that, Jesus not only understands our weaknesses (Hebrews

God desires a personal relationship with us. Understand that God wants to give you a life filed with joy and peace. God wants us to have a life not just to make it through but an abundant and eternal life because he loves you.
"I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." ~ John 10:10
"We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ" ~ Romans 5:1
But to giving you abundant life required the supreme sacrifice:
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believe in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" ~ John 3:16
What a wonderful gift the Father has given. If God gave His own Son to provide an abundant and everlasting life, why more people don’t have what He has designed for us to receive?

We were created in God’s image for an abundant and joyful life with the ability and need to know God and have a personal relationship with Him. But our freedom of choice of disobedience caused a separation and gap between God and us.
"But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear" ~ Isaiah 59:2
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." ~ Romans 3:23

People always try to fill that empty void in their lives with "things." They even try good works, morality, and religion. Yet they remain empty, for only God, through His Son, can fill that emptiness.
"There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death” ~ Proverbs 14:12
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." ~ Romans 6:23
Our Problem is that sin separated us from God. But
God provided only ONE SOLUTION
God has provided only one solution to sin and separation from Himself.
Jesus Christ, His Son, is the only way to God.
Jesus Christ paid the penalty for our sin and rebellion against God and bridged the gap between God and humanity by dying on the cross, shedding His blood, and rising from the dead to justify and reconcile you back to God the Father.

"For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God." ~ 1Peter 3:18
"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." ~ Romans 5:8
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast." ~ Ephesians 2:8,9
"For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" ~ 1Timothy 2:5
Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. “~ John 14:6
God so loved us that he gave his only Son to bridge the gap between us and the Father. God has provided the only way, the only solution. You have to take a decision and choose how to respond to God’s provision.
Your relationship with God can be restored and you can be brought back into his family by trusting in Christ alone who can save your life from destruction. Jesus is the bridge to the Father but you have to choose to trust him, you have to make a step forward him, you have to step out in faith and give your life to God. At the Cross you can exchange your worst for Jesus’ best.

This step happens by asking Jesus Christ to take away your sin and to come into your heart to be your Lord and Savior.
The Bible says...
"That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." ~ Romans 10:9
"Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God." ~ John 1:12
"Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me." ~ Revelation 3:20
Would you like to invite Jesus to be part of your life, to be your Lord and Savior now? You can start a new life with him. It doesn’t matter where you’re coming from, what you did in the past. When you give your life to Jesus you can start all over again. With Jesus you can have a new chance again.
If you too need Jesus to give you a new start, if you realized that Jesus is all you need then here is how you can receive Christ:
Admit your need (I am a sinner).
Be willing to turn from your sins (repent).
Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the Cross and rose from the grave.
Through prayer, invite Jesus Christ to come in and control your life through the Holy Spirit. (Receive Him as Lord and Savior.)
At this moment you can pray the most important prayer of your life by simply saying:
Dear Lord Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God. I believe you died for me on the cross and shed Your blood for my salvation. I believe you rose from the dead and ascended in Heaven. I believe You are coming back again to earth. Dear Jesus, I know I am a sinner and I need Your forgiveness. Forgive my sins. Cleanse me now with Your precious blood. I want to turn from sins. I invite you to come into my heart. I give you my life now. I want to trust and follow You as Lord and Savior. I receive You now as my Savior, my Lord, and my God. I am Yours forever, I belong to You only. I no longer belong to this world, nor to the enemy of my soul. Amen!
If you sincerely prayed this prayer, confessed your sins, and received Jesus Christ into your heart, God has given you the right to become His child.
The Bible gives you this assurance:
"Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” ~ Romans 10:13
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast." ~ Ephesians 2:8,9
This is just the beginning of a wonderful new life in Christ. If you have just received Jesus Christ into your life, we want to rejoice with you. Click here to send us your salvation praise report.
